After Your Treatment

1. Integrate

It’s important to find somewhere quiet and relaxing to handle anything that may arise. Try not to book anything right after your session. Pay attention to your body, be gentle and take good care of yourself. Take a walk, meditate, lie down, or nap for 15-20 minutes.

 

2. Hydrate

It is common to feel thirsty after your treatment. This is normal! Directly after your session, drink 1-2 glasses of fresh water or drink non-caffeinated herbal tea.

 

3. Eat

As with thirst, many clients have reported feeling hungry after their session. Listen to your body! Have a light, healthy snack or a small piece of chocolate to help replenish your body after energy work and aid in grounding any residual energy.

 

4. Reflect

It’s often helpful to spend a little time after your session reflecting. Journaling, drawing, meditating, or listening to calming music will help you connect to your experience and help you recall it more easily in the future.

 

5. Contact Your Practitioner

Please contact your practitioner immediately if your experience any overly challenging emotions, physical sensations, or issues after your treatment. Reiki is very gentle, yet clearing energy blockages may cause issues you may not feel comfortable handling alone.
