Ways to Prepare For Your Reiki Session

Speak with your practitioner about how the session will be conducted, especially if you are new to Reiki.

Eat organically, or at least as cleanly as possible, the day of your treatment.

Avoid alcohol or recreational drugs at least 2 days before your session.

Trust your practitioner. Take some time to speak with them so you are comfortable.

Consult with your practitioner prior to your treatment regarding the areas to be worked on. Your reminder call is a perfect time to do this!

Be honest when filling out intake paperwork. Even if you think something is unimportant, it may help your practitioner.

Notify your practitioner if you have any changes in your condition as soon as possible. This will ensure you are receiving the most informed treatment possible.

Keep a journal.

Take a shower, but refrain from heavily scented soaps, perfumes, sprays, or jewelry. It is helpful to wear loose, comfortable clothes.

Take deep breaths - for about 5-10 min before the Reiki session

Drink 2-3 glasses of water before the Reiki session.

Let go of expectation. Reiki energy knows how to help you with the highest intent and will cause no harm.

Understand that healing is a process. It takes time!
